Website maintenance and hosting

$10 a month, three changes a year, and anything broken fixed at no cost

$10 a month. It keeps your site online, fast and secure, backed up, and it includes three changes a year.

There is no contract. If you want to stop, tell us and we cancel it that day.

What the $10 covers

  • The site stays online, on fast hosting, with its security certificate current.
  • Backups.
  • Security and software updates.
  • Three changes a year.

Extra changes past those three are $50 each, and nothing happens automatically — we tell you the cost before doing anything.

What counts as a change

Anything on the page. New prices. New hours. A new item on the menu. A holiday closure. Swapping a photo. Fixing a typo. If it is words or pictures on your website, it is a change.

How to ask for one: text or email us and say what you want it to say. You do not need to explain where it goes or how it works — that is our job. Most changes are done the same day.

What is not a change, and costs you nothing

  • Anything broken. If something does not work, that is ours to fix, always, at no cost, and it does not come off your three.
  • Keeping the site online, secure and up to date.
  • Backups.

That distinction is the important one and it is worth being blunt about: we do not bill you to repair our own work.

The first two weeks are unlimited

For two weeks after you buy, changes are unlimited and free. Almost everybody spots something once the site is real and in front of them — a photo they would rather use, a line that reads wrong out loud — and charging for that would be charging you for finishing the job.

Why it is $10 and not $99

Most agencies sell a "care plan" at $50 to $200 a month. Some of that is genuine hosting and updates. A lot of it is a retainer wearing a maintenance label, kept deliberately vague so the number is hard to argue with.

Hosting a fast static site genuinely costs very little. We charge close to what it costs, put the three changes on top so you are not nickel-and-dimed for a typo, and make our money on the build and on the monthly plans instead.

The receipt says the terms. Your Stripe receipt reads "Website hosting — monthly, includes 3 edits a year" every single month, so the terms are on your own paperwork and neither of us has to remember them.

If you want more than maintenance

Maintenance keeps a site alive. It does not make you easier to find.

If the goal is being found by people who do not know your name yet, that is the monthly plans — $247, $747 or $1,247 a month, each including the website with no build fee, and each building new pages every month rather than maintaining the ones you have.

Plenty of businesses never need that. If you are booked out on word of mouth and you just need somewhere to send people, the $497 site plus $10 a month is the whole answer and we will say so.

You own it either way, code included

The website and its source code, the domain and the content are yours from day one — every plan, not on completion and not after a term.

The $10 buys the service: hosting, maintenance, edits, and carrying the domain if you want us to. It does not buy the code, because the code was never ours to sell you.

So cancelling does not take your site down. You keep the website and we hand you the code, and you do not have to ask for it — any developer can pick it up and carry on.

That is worth saying plainly because the industry standard is the opposite. Plenty of shops switch the site off when the maintenance lapses, or keep the code so that leaving means starting over. The quiet version of that is a switching cost dressed up as a service. We would rather you stay because the work is good.

Already have a site somebody else built?

We will host and maintain it at the same $10 a month if it is a fit. Send us the address and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth keeping or whether you would be better off starting again — and we will tell you when the answer is "keep it," which is not a sales pitch and is sometimes true.

Questions

How much is website maintenance?

$10 a month. It covers hosting, the security certificate, updates and backups, and includes three changes a year. Extra changes are $50 each and always quoted before we do them.

What counts as a change?

Anything on the page — prices, hours, a new menu item, a holiday closure, a photo swap, a typo. You text us what it should say; you do not need to explain where it goes.

What if something on my site breaks?

We fix it at no cost and it does not count against your three changes. We do not bill you to repair our own work.

Is there a contract?

No. Tell us you want to stop and we cancel it that day.

How fast are changes made?

Most are done the same day. For the first two weeks after you buy, changes are unlimited and free.

Can I make the changes myself instead?

Not on our sites, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a missing feature. There is no login or page editor — you text or email us what you want and we do it, usually the same day. That is why the hosting is $10 a month instead of $50: no editor to license, no plugins to keep patched, and nothing that quietly breaks the site at two in the morning because an update ran itself. The trade is real, so we say it plainly: if you want to be in there editing pages week to week, we are not the right shop and we will tell you that on the first call rather than after you pay.

What happens to my site if I cancel?

You keep it and it stays up. The website and its code, the domain and the content are yours from day one, and we hand you the code without you having to ask, so you can host it anywhere or give it to any developer. Cancelling ends the service, not your website.

Can you maintain a website you did not build?

Often, yes, at the same $10 a month. Send us the address and we will tell you whether it is worth keeping, including when the honest answer is that it is.
